Christine und Sebastian

We are Christine and Sebastian and are currently traveling through Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

While we have already kept family and friends up to date with one or the other travel blog on past trips, we have decided this time to make our experiences publicly available*, to share them with all interested parties and maybe do something good in the process:
If you like our travel blog, you are welcome to support our charity for the organization 'kinderherzen' with a small or even large donation.

I, Sebastian, was born with a heart defect and had open heart surgerys at the age of 6 months and 10 years to correct these defects. This topic has been with me all my life and it is therefore important to me to draw attention to it and to support those affected.

kinderherzen does just that and supports affected children and their families on the one hand and research projects on the other, in order to be able to correct more and more congenital heart defects. After all, every 100th child starts life with a congenital heart defect.
In Germany, kinderherzen has four foundations. Among others, recently in Erlangen, where my second open heart surgery was successful. However, kinderherzen is not only active in Germany, but also provides emergency aid on an international level. For more information, have a look at their homepage: kinderherzen.de

I have always felt a great desire to travel, which was intensified during my studies. After an internship in San Diego, I went out into the big wide world again and again and so I traveled through large parts of Europe, Asia and finally Central and South America for a longer period of time.

However, it is not every year that one travels for so many months and that is why I am fulfilling another big dream with this trip as part of a sabbatical - and for the first time not alone, but with my wife Christine by my side.

Have fun accompanying us on our journey!
Christine and Sebastian :)
